Freshman point guard Thomas O'Connell has had a stellar spring AAU season for Rising Stars leading the 15U team to a 18-2 record to date.

Thomas has been in the program since he first attended Rising Stars clinics in grade 4.

Accepted and enrolled into Chaminade HS this past fall Thomas became a 3 sport athlete in (Basketball,Football and Lacrosse)

Thomas accolades include four triple doubles, high scorer and tops in assists as captain and MVP of the basketball team.

He also was the quarterback and captain of the football team.

Thomas has excelled in class making the high honor roll.

Thomas also volunteers with the Nassau County PAL, Mineola Unit,the CYO, Saint Aidan's Parish in Williston Park & the Knights of Columbus, #2502 in Mineola.

Thomas exemplifies the Rising Stars philosophy of balancing athletics with academics,community and family.

His achievements earned him a nomination for the NY Knicks Dave Debucherre award as outstanding student athlete and a scholarship award from Rising Stars.
