Althea Williams' association with Rising Stars began in 1993 as a parent. In 2008, she became active in helping Rising Stars reorganize and prepare to enter the 21" Century in terms of student programming and organizational planning. Althea Williams has been an educator for more than 30 years. She holds a BA in Elementary Education and two Master of Arts Degrees, the first from Ohio State University in Student Personnel Services/Counseling and the second in Educational Administration from Kean University in New Jersey. She is a recent School Administrator retiree from the state of New Jersey.

Since retirement Mrs. Williams has been employed as an Educational Consultant. She still holds the position as Chief Operations of Jay Limited Liability Corporation based in New Jersey and has her own business in Public Relations/Event Planning and Educational Programming. Althea is now one of our active head executives in Rising Stars. Her outstanding educational skills array coupled with her extensive business knowledge and experience truly makes her an asset to Rising Stars Youth Foundation.
