Paul Savramis is a pioneer in instructional basketball and innovative youth programming. A graduate of NYC's Flushing HS and Queens College, Mr. Savramis received his master's degree in Physical and Special Education in 1978. He began his journey with youth camps and after school programs in 1980 with the development of the Eastern Invitational Camps. They included basketball, soccer, and the Nick Bolliterri Tennis Academy.

Mr. Savramis also developed a reputation as one of America's finest basketball instructors and was among the first to offer yearly programs of specialized instruction and training. Mr. Savramis camps took on a national and international identity as they were the featured instructional programs at the Michael Jordan camp as well as NBA and college camps. His interactive clinics have been a staple of basketball camps in 27 states, Europe and Canada. Notable stars to work at his camps included Larry Bird and Magic Johnson. His coaching staff was among the finest ever assembled and included current Chicago Bulls coach Tom Thibedeau, Stan and Jeff Van Gundy and many others.

Mr. Savramis began Rising Stars in 1996 in response to the need for a yearly program that addressed the growing concerns of parents to the challenges facing young men and women during the formative years. His lifelong passion to improve the lives of children remains the focus of Rising Stars today.
